About the Artist
Crisp and highly defined detail features prominently in all of April's work, as she endeavours with every brush stroke to convey the beauty in things we sometimes overlook. Be it a small stone from the beach, to the reflection of light on a cellophane bag of chocolates.
Born in 1971 April is a British artist who is predominently self taught despite spending one year at a Scottish art school (1989-1990). Learning to paint came much later and at the right time when April could devote herself to painting in the detailed way she sees the world. Most of her paintings have been sold either through group exhibitions or through private commissions and April now has paintings in private collections worldwide. She devotes herself on a daily basis to bettering her painting skills and some of her work will be available through galleries in the UK in 2012. She is available for commission all year. |
